Meet The Pack
Welcome to Jessica’s Dog Training. You’re in the right place to find the help you need for basic to advanced training and changing unwanted behaviors. I offer Training Sessions, Board & Train and Adventure Day Training. I know it takes ongoing effort to keep up with positive changes and am here for you through the journey. Each of my training programs are designed to improve and make the very most out of your relationship with your dog.
I have been training since 2014. Before I began training, I was a dog walker and petsitter in Brooklyn, NY and I ran J&V Rescue in Longmont, CO where we adopted out over 200 dogs to loving homes. I volunteered for a dog rescue in NYC. I completed Cesar Milan’s Fundamentals in Training course at the Dog Psychology Center. I continue to attend workshops and mentor programs to continue my study and update my training methods. I am bonded and insured by Insurance of the Carolinas which specializes in dog training businesses and am CPR certified. I have worked with hundreds of clients and am overjoyed to see my clients improve their lives with their dogs.
“Sometimes a challenging dog can change your life and subsequently the lives of people and dogs around you. A few of my favorite trainers have similar stories to my own. They had a dog that they needed a lot help with. They tried a few different trainers, got kicked out of puppy classes and were unable to change themselves or their dogs with the methods taught to them. So, they dug in more, determined to learn what was causing the struggles. Like them, I began to find methods that worked for me, made sense and most importantly improved my life and my dog’s life together.
This work lead to learning more and more about dog psychology and I could see how much this information could help others who are also struggling. A challenging dog can be a bridge to deeper understanding of ourselves and how to live in balance as best we can moment to moment with our dog.” - Jessica 2024
Meet the Pack members!
Josh assists with some clients when needed, he also participates in daily training exercises, does website and sales work and helps with recording video.
Jericho was our first family dog and after his own training, has helped with walk and train sessions. He’s helped other dogs get through exactly what he had to learn to do well and set a beautiful example for what is possible. He passed away with us in 2020 after a long and happy life.
Quito (Collie mix) and Tails (small and round with no tail) support Board & Train dogs by setting good examples at home, socializing in the fenced in yard and going on walks. They participate in one on one sessions at my location when needed.
Hissy the Bur was a pregnant cat that walked into our home. A short time later, she had kittens. My cats are always around providing distractions and socializing with Board & Train dogs.
